About
A journal for imperfect cameras.
VistaQuest started as a place to catalogue a small collection of cheap plastic cameras and turned into a longer love letter to lo-fi photography. The name borrows from the keychain cameras that taught a lot of us that a photograph does not have to be sharp to be good.
We write reviews, field notes and the occasional essay. We are not chasing the latest sensor. We are interested in the opposite: what happens when you take photographs with the least camera possible and the most attention you can manage.
If you still carry a plastic camera on your keyring, you are in the right place.
